EMT Trauma and Medical Skills Lab is a laboratory-based course utilizing scenarios to emphasize obstetrics and gynecology, neonatal care, pediatric emergencies, geriatric emergencies, environmental emergencies, patients with special challenges, trauma and shock. Semester Availability(Subject to Change): FALL and SPRING PREREQUISITE: Admission into the EMT program. COREQUISITES: EMSB 1601, EMSB 1602, EMSB 1101, EMSB 1111, and EMSB 1112 Contact hours 30 lab hours per semester CAREER COURSE: Designated primarily for vocational/career programs. This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
