NRSG 1710 - Fundamentals of Nursing

An introduction to the core concepts that provide the basis for knowledge, skills, and attitudes that emphasize fundamental principles necessary to provide safe nursing care for individuals with basic alterations in homeostasis and health.

Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Summer (Gallatin, Livingston), Fall (Springfield)

PREREQUISITE: Formal admission into the Nursing Program.

COREQUISITE: None

HOURS: 60 lecture hours and 135 lab/clinical hours per semester.

CAREER COURSE: Designated primarily for vocational/career programs. This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course
