BIOL 2010 - Human Anat and Physiology I

This is a course primarily designed for students in nursing, health sciences, and those interested in biological sciences. Cell structure and physiology tissues, integumentary system, skeletal system, muscular system, and nervous system are studied. It is recommended that students who have an ACT composite of 19 or better and are not strong in biology and chemistry take BIOL 1030 or CHEM 1030 prior to taking this course.

Semester Availability (Subject to Change): Fall, Spring, Summer

PREREQUISITE: Acceptable placement scores or completion of all Learning Support Competencies in Reading and acceptable placement scores or completion of all Learning Support competencies in Writing or concurrent enrollment in ENGL 0810 as determined by placement and an ACT composite of 19 or higher, or an SAT composition of 990 or higher, or a minimum score of 70 on the A&P Challenge Exam, or completion with a grade of C or higher of CHEM1030 or BIOL1030.

COREQUISITE: BIOL 2010 Lab

CONTACT HOURS:45 lecture hours, 30 lab hours per semester

GEN ED: Course can be used to meet Minimum General Education Core requirements.
