Volunteer State Community College

This is a course designed to improve reading comprehension and skills in the areas of main idea, supporting details, organization and relationships, vocabulary development, and critical and strategic reading.  Students read a variety of texts and complete an individualized study plan. Successful completion of READ 0810 satisfies the Reading Competency Level 2.p>Semester Availability (Subject to Change): Fall, Spring, Summer

PREREQUISITES: ACT Reading subscore less than 18 or equivalent.

COREQUISITE: ENGL 1010 or PSYC 1030
